No introduction should be needed for Café Pinson if you’re familiar with its namesake big sister in Haut Marais. Not quite an identical copy, this one’s also been designed by Dorothée Meilichzon’s CHZON studio and it features the same kind of organic, gluten-free and mostly veggie menu that made the original resonate with Paris’s design and health-obsessed crowds.

This outlet is located in an increasingly trendy pocket of the 10th and it’s a pleasant little spot to indulge in a light, wholesome meal at breakfast and lunch time, or just to procrastinate over a hot drink and a magazine (alright, checking Grindr). It so far remains closed for Sunday brunch but this neighbourhood is much more interesting during the week anyway.

Some will take issue with their prices and the rather small servings certainly aren’t what you’d call bargainous. However, that’s very much par for the course in Paris, so take comfort in knowing that you’d probably spend the same at Starbucks, for considerably less style and presumably rather less healthy grub.
