Here are some buns to get excited about, but it’s in the subterranean slider den rather than at the Soho outlet of Agent Provocateur above. Lucky Chip have finally taken permanent residency in the West End, in the basement below the saucy retailer, which means that a trek to the East End is no longer required for a taste of their revered burgers.

Although prices are slightly higher here, a tenner will still buy a main meal that comes with fries and a choice of two sliders from the likes of cheeseburgers, the blue cheese and jalapeno-filled El Chappo, and a very good fillet-oh-fish. Add some artery-stopping starters – Americana classics such as the awesome chicken bucket with cheese croquettes and creamed corn – and follow up with a trip to the ‘build your own sundae’ bar.

The space is shared with The Player, part of the Rushmore Group and sister to Milk & Honey, so you can expect stellar cocktails, too. They have also added a triplet of juleps to the mix, coming in mint, peach brandy, and rye & rosemary flavours. Or stick to the classic beer and boilermaker combos, all the more likely to have you staggering when back up at street level.
