Ceci n’est pas un pub. Like The George & Dragon and so many of East London’s favourite gay haunts, The Glory could easily pass off as yet another local boozer – at least when empty. But coming from Jonny Woo, the undisputed Queen of East London’s drag scene and general party homo magnet, that rarely happens.

With a late license and a downstairs disco room that’s used both for dancing and as an alt-drag performance space, this is a queer wet dream come true. Other partners include Woo’s Gay Bingo co-host John Sizzle, former Dalston Superstore bar manager Zoe Argiros along with Shed party organiser Colin Rothbart, guaranteeing debauchery, madness and shenanigans.

Performances – expect off-kilter cabaret and a revival of Woo s fierce tranny talent scouting shows – are ticketed but entry is otherwise free. Located in Haggerston (‘Faggerston’) half-way between the gay nightlife hubs of Shoreditch and Dalston, make this part of your East London party itinerary.
