Two years and £125 million of extensive renovations later, this classy lady is finally ready to re-open her doors and ruffle some feathers on the luxe Park Lane hotel strip. Sitting pretty amongst grand five-star dames like the classic Dorchester and the modern Met, the Four Seasons has been dolled up by Pierre-Yves Rochon and now holds bragging rights to the Amaranto bar-lounge-restaurant complex from Adriano Cavagnini and Davide Degiovanni.

The refurbished rooms have been reconfigured, made more spacious and come in fresh, contemporary country cool – the Four Seasons has never messed about when it comes to interiors – with brushed silver, walnut and marble making for rich materials throughout. Mirrors come with integrated TVs, there’s free Wi-Fi, iPod docking stations, and a specially commissioned range of amenities by bespoke perfumery Roja Dove.

Room with a view? Some of the larger suites come with their own landscaped terraces, dining areas and fireplaces with spectacular vistas including Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Panoramic views can also be enjoyed from the all-new glass-walled penthouse spa (from March 1) while the fitness suite next door has all of the best new equipment for cardio and weight-training with separate pools, saunas and steam rooms for him and her.

Park Lane princesses watch out – there’s a new broad in town and she ain’t messing about.
