The petite lady with the fishy bottom is back on her dockside rock in Copenhagen after spending most of 2010 in Shanghai as the main attraction of the Danish Pavilion at the World Expo.

The Little Mermaid has been decapitated, dressed up and vandalised several times, but let’s be honest – unless any of that happens whilst you’re actually visiting, there’s nothing to see that you can’t see on a postcard.

Note that you’ll only be able to see the back of the pretty but tiny symbol of Copenhagen when you go on canal tour – for a front view of Edvard Eriksen’s famous sculpture, you’ll have to make the trek landside.
