It would be all too easy to pun on a top-hatted, monocle-wearing bourgeois pig that happens to be the figurehead of this high quality French restaurant. So instead we’ll just say that as far as bistro eating goes, you won’t find better in Berlin – even if it does come with Edith Piaf on the sound system. Frogs legs, duck breast, quail leg and a damn fine crême brûlée all make their obligatory appearances, so it’s just as well that you can choose to indulge in 3, 4 or 5 courses from as little as EUR 35. The attentive staff and personal greeting from the head chef keep this place intimate without feeling overbearing, and romantic without OD’ing on the live pianist that accompanies dinner service every evening.
