Despite the unfortunate name, this Asian-fusion joint is more than a load of sushi-shite. Sparse white interiors make way for long wooden benches where the self-proclaimed cool kids gather come Friday night and tuck into fresh fish, steamy soups and a roster of rolls to the soothing sounds of techno.

More likely to be found in a Californian kitchen than Berlin’s Mitte, the crispy tiger and crunchy dudu roll are favourites, as is the steak served practically wriggling, whilst those not into raw can order everything from grilled salmon and avocado to ginger ribs and the ever popular seafood bowl.

The serving staff are great, and if part of the fun for you involves watching the action (un)roll, take a seat at the open kitchen’s bar under floating goldfish, and enjoy the sushi show as colourful platters fly out adorned with guacamole and salsa on the side.

Dinner is best secured with a reservation (make them at least a day in advance), with lunchtimes better bet for quieter, more casual fare.
