They say that it takes a homo to know a homo and Jaime Beriestain certainly knows what makes all of our boxes tick. Already a renowned interior designer, the silver fox now also has his own concept store that almost makes Vinçon – Barcelona’s iconic design emporium on the next block – feel like IKEA in comparison.

Carefully curated to reflect his flamboyant vision of home living and signature modern vintage style, it’s more of a lifestyle showcase in the mould of Merci in Paris than a coolhunter boutique like Colette, Opening Ceremony or Dover Street Market. Think of Jaime as a gay Martha Stewart (with better taste and no rap sheet) and this as the walk-in catalogue.

Spread over 500 square meters, you’ll find everything needed to deck out your pad Jaime-style from small design objects to big ticket furniture. There’s also art, books and magazines, as well as fragrances and fresh flowers for a bit of ambience. Heck, there’s even an 80-seat café, open all day, every day of the week, for a bite or a G&T while you scout a boy toy to go with the bedspread. Happy decorating.
