Update Feb 2015: KER Club is closed temporarily until a new venue has been found. Run by the guys behind ROW 14, the former Ibiza-style clubbing nirvana near the airport, KER Club usually puts on a sweet DJ line-up. It no longer has its own venue but instead occupies the Sunday slot at Danzatoria, a name which may sound familiar. Once an iconic party mansion near Tibidabo, it now occupies the former Catwalk behind Hotel Arts.

That’s a somewhat problematic area, right next to Port Olímpic and popular with both suburban trash and the corporate event crowd. On the flipside you get a nicer venue, halfway classy even, at least after a few drinks. Certainly a far shout from the grimy surroundings of City Hall and Razzmatazz.

KER, however, has traditionally drawn a fairly agreeable and relatively mature crowd – mostly in their late twenties – for a straight club. For a night out with the breeders, away from the gay ghetto, this is probably as good as it gets in Barcelona.
