Another fashionable feather in the Costes cap it may be, but Chez Julien has mercifully been kept close to its traditional roots (it was established in 1780), despite a mammoth makeover. Beautiful tall, gilded mirrors, plush jewel-toned furnishings and crystal chandeliers form the backdrop for some of the best French food in Paris, including frogs’ legs and Chateaubriand, with a stunning view over the Seine and Notre Dame to boot.
