In the mood for something a little different? Feeling the urge to give vent to your inner Piaf? Then L’Enchanteur is for you. This smallish gay bar is a Marais institution, thanks to its basement karaoke sessions which go on until the early hours most nights of the week.Non-French speakers needn’t despair, as the song catalogue covers everything from the Beatles to Yazz, just write your name on the slip of paper and hand it to the DJ. Glitzy it ain’t but the crowd is fun and friendly and it’s a rare chance to see Parisians letting their hair down. One word of warning: it can get very crowded on Fridays and Saturdays.
