Devils That Wear Prada are the devils that sup here. This is fashion ground zero, A-list central and host of high-end events year round. The swanky bar is now going to the urban cutting edge with a series of Thursday nights which showcase Electro-pop cuts and the beautiful people.

There is a bar tab to match but the pay-back is rich. The list of Thursday night DJs includes daughter of Eurotrash’s Antoine de Caunes, Emma. While the decor is Abercrombie & Fitch, the über cool crowd – metrosexual, so oggling in this eye candy store is all part of the preening – is aching in its sophistication and here you can never knowingly be underdressed. Even if you don’t see Galliano in person, you will be sure to feel the ghosts of Hemingway and Diana – not least because the entrance is on rue Cambon just two steps from her fateful last chauffeur-driven pick-up.
