The British-American editor-in-chief of American Vogue has become a fashion icon herself, with her bob haircut and sunglasses front and center of every major fashion show. The 2003 best-selling novel, and later a film staring Meryl Streep, The Devil Wears Prada is believed to be about Wintour. Ironically, the film that was definitely about Wintour, The September Issue, then turned out to really be about her creative director Grace Coddington.
