The biannual circus may have been moved from Bryant Park, its home since 1993, to the less glamorous location of Damrosch Park by the Lincoln Center, but don't worry, the show will go on.
This is the world of Anna Wintour, but also distinctly America, and while what counts is originality at London’s Fashion Week, style in Milan, and possessing that je ne sais quoi in Paris, in New York it’s about having money and flashing it. It’s rarely pretty, often crass, but nearly always very entertaining to watch.
This is the time of year when you want to befriend a publicist or two who can get you in on the frontline action. For the rest, enjoy the eye candy as models inevitably flood the city’s bars and restaurants.
