Some love New York for the Yankees, and others for Barneys. Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sex & The City character Carrie Bradshaw visited this luxury department store with near obsessive regularity. Will & Grace’s Jack MacFarland was a sales clerk here when he hit his head and was given career advice from Cher. Merchandise comes from all the big designers, as well as a fantastic private label, whilst the shoe selection is number one in the city. The twice a year warehouse sale, held at the 18th Street Barneys Co-op location, always gets the city in a frenzy. Dress well and act confident to get better service.
