Where West 4th Street finally ends with Eighth Avenue is one of the city’s greatest taverns, home to one of the city’s greatest burgers. It still is a bar, but the wait is not for a beer, but rather for their famous charbroiled beef burger loaded with lettuce, tomato, pickle and mayo served on a paper plate, with cheese, no cheese and with or without fries making up the remaining menu options. It’s definitely not a fancy place, so don’t get dolled up only to find yourself with a greasy stain on your Marc Jacobs shirt.
