Boxers or briefs may be a daily debate, but when it comes to sports bars that are really packing where it counts, there’s no choice to be made. Boxers in Chelsea (there’s a second location coming in Hell’s Kitchen) is where all the jocks and cocks puns come home to roost, with pool tables, plasma screens playing ‘the game’ and cheap beer on tap getting that traditional testosterone going.
Bartenders in boxers (albeit straight boys, a long-standing bugbear), beer pong on a Saturday and pizzas give it a bit of a frat party atmosphere, but the diverse, down-to-earth crowd keeps things on the right side of cliché (the 90s music, however, doesn’t).Turn up for happy hours between 16 and 21:30 on weekdays (Friday included) and hang around for midnight madness punch cocktails for a free fifteen minutes. Dude, you might even get laaaaaaaid – high five!
