The former Tenth Avenue Lounge is now just Bar-tini but no longer bar tiny. With the recent acquisition of the next-door Irish pub, they’ve made enough room for a second bar and seating space for a little tête-à-tête.
The cookie-cutter decor – white-washed interiors with under-lit neon accents – isn’t likely to win it any Wallpaper design prizes but any place that manages to entice that many gays boys into venturing all the way out to Tenth Ave must be doing a thing or two right. Its drag show nights, after-work happy hour, and mainstream party tunes definitely seem to hit the note with a handsome Hell’s Kitchen crowd that’s looking for a good time, if not quite an all-out arms-in-the-air spate of partying.
