Tom Ford’s 1930s-inspired Madison Avenue store features not only his menswear line, but also pieces from his own personal collection, such as beaver-skin rugs and Lucio Fontana artwork. Everything is custom made here, from the suits to the cologne – which you can dabble with in the octagonal perfume chamber. Expect to spend a pretty penny here, as off-the-rack suits start at $3,000 and are kept in glass cabinets (you’ll have to make an appointment for custom-made fittings in one of the three salons upstairs), whilst shirts range from $350 to infinity and come with a mind-boggling array of variations. A butler and maid service is also available should you need a strong drink or some crudités while you shop.
