For some fresh air and rosy cheeks, head past the Hamptons to the eastern-most end of Long Island where you’ll find several state parks featuring miles of sandy beaches and natural preserve areas. The scenic Montauk Point Lighthouse is the area’s best-known attraction besides the seal spotting, fishing and hunting activities that are offered in the parks. A stop at The Lobster Roll (or simply known as the LUNCH restaurant) for an order of its eponymous signature dish (which is really lobster salad in a hotdog bun) is mandatory in this part of the state.
