British hoteliers Tim and Kit Kemp bring their raved-about brand of boutique chic to the streets of New York with the Crosby Street Hotel. The hotel features 86 rooms, each decorated in the trademark opulent quaint-style of the group – it may smell like Laura Ashley, but thankfully more contemporary, in better taste, and without so much gag-inducing floral stuff – and the leafy courtyard garden seems so right here. The compact hotel also features a gym, a 99-seat screening room and a cosy in-house bar/restaurant, the Crosby Bar, that serves lunch, dinner and cocktails.
