A date destination if you wanna get laid, this secretive speakeasy on the Lower East Side was originally created as an anti-celebrity hangout, emphasized by the ‘no name dropping, no star fucking’ rule of engagement. The lucky non-famous (who have called ahead and been given the nod) are buzzed through a hi-tech surveillance door and ushered to their small leather booth in a dimly-lit lounge, where the bar has several more rules. Men cannot introduce themselves to the ladies. The exchange of phone numbers is prohibited. There is no drink menu. Tell the bartender what you’re into (presumably People and E! are out), and he’ll whip you up a carefully made cocktail.
