Update December 2011: Bungalow 8 will reopen after renovations in March 2012. OK, Studio 54 it is not – but Amy Sacco’s exclusive celebrity haven Bungalow 8 is still as cool as ever. The doormen outside the neon “No Vacancy” sign mean business, so you’d better know someone inside or look amazing to get past them.
Once you’re in, it’s all palm trees, disco balls and Page Six regulars dancing on tables, whilst the ‘No Photography’ rule and strict door policy keep the Bridge & Tunnel riff-raff out. The place really gets going late night, and is rarely overcrowded.
