A gallery dedicated to finding, preserving and exhibiting art created by the LGBT community throughout history as well as today, The Leslie/Lohman Gay Art Foundation boasts a sizeable permanent collection of paintings, sculptures and photography, and puts on a handful of special exhibitions including retrospectives, fundraisers and thematic overviews throughout the year.
Dealing with issues of gender, identity, sex and pop-culture, expect plenty of all-out nudity, erections galore and intimate encounters. There’s a research library in house, as well as an Erotic Drawing Studio where participants can immortalise real sexual encounters – as long as they clean up after themselves. We’re talking pencil shavings people – honestly!
