The slightly confusing name comes from the festival’s Brazilian roots but, although it’s not held in Rio this year, still expect massive party crowds. Held over several days spread over two weeks, the programme is grouped into different genres, allowing you to pick and choose which is part of this festival’s charm – drop in and drop out at will rather than being stuck in a Glastonbury mud bath with no way out.
Main highlights of this year include Mana, Lenny Kravitz, Macaco and Luciano (June 30) and Red Hot Chilli Peppers (July 7). Expect several super DJ acts to fill in, such as Deadmau5 and other top producers.
