After visiting a particularly inspiring exhibition purchasing the accompanying literature, or leaflet as the case may be, can often be a let-down. Which is where Ivorypress comes in, attempting to create a closer bond between art and publishing. Having worked on limited edition tomes with the likes of Turner Prize winner Anish Kapoor, and stocking titles devoted to luminaries including Francis Bacon and Eduardo Chillida, it’s hardly surprising that founder Elena Ochoa has a vested interest, being married to Sir Norman Foster, an award winning architect in his own right. Foster designed the publishing house’s shop and exhibition space in Madrid, which stocks specialist titles, out-of-print catalogues and beautiful editions on everything from photography and art to architecture and design.
