It’s hard to associate anything food related with the famous actor/designer/skank twins bearing this restaurant’s name – luckily they haven’t strayed far enough from fashion design to enter the world of gastronomy. Namesake or no, Olsen offers tapas with a global spin, doing finger food from a Scandinavian perspective. Including smoked fish, deer tartar and hot corn blinis, the Nordic style canapés are all accompanied by shots of vodka from the Belvedere Lounge downstairs which has an impressive array of over 80 flavours. The interiors are all Finnish birchwood, clean lines and white lighting, evoking the kind of crisp chill you’d expect in Northern Europe; stay inside for long enough, and you might suffer a little culture shock on re-entering balmy Madrid.
