Modelled on an old fashioned convenience store, this Chueca eatery from Grupo Andilina, the Catalan masters of fancy budget restaurants, delivers what they do so well: decent Mediterranean food in a fab setting for those on a budget. Surrounded by whitewashed dressers whose shelves heave with rustically packaged products, china and various tins and bottles, you can watch the world go by from simple banquettes and tables dressed in fuss-free linens. The menu boasts some flushes of creativity but heed our advice and stick to the rule of thumb for Andilana restaurants: Go for dishes that you know only get better with re-heating.
