Taking traditional Spanish elements like flamenco music and bullfighting, and marrying them with his signature modern aesthetic is the idea behind Tomás Alía’s ‘sun and shade’ club. You’ll get jazz and R’n’B mixed in with the sounds of fluttering castanets, whilst the reception table seems to made out of a giant, intricately carved traditional hair comb – the same pattern is reflected in glowing purples across the main walls of the room.
