Arguably the biggest event in the UK’s gay calendar, Brighton Pride is a chance to let loose in the country’s capital of camp. Themed, revellers are encouraged to turn up in their most outrageous outfits (or lack thereof) and gay the entire day away.
The main event takes place on Saturday August 5 in Preston Park with live entertainment and a huge parade from noon complete with floats and fairies. The official after-party takes place back in town from 10pm at Shooshh at the King's Road Arches near the pier.
Sunday's events include the traditional Sunday Sundae tea dance from 3pm at Audio on Marine Parade and the closing party at Shooshh from 10pm. But if you fancy heading down to the city beforehand and making a mini-break of it, there are plenty of satellite events taking place during the week too.
