Taking up a prime position in the heart of up-and-coming Bermondsey Square, the Bermondsey Square Hotel (we know, we’re staggered by the originality too), is one of the latest boutique offerings to hit London. Taking a tongue-in-cheek approach to a 60s theme (because really, what other approach is there), it offers 60 bedrooms and a series of stunning loft rooms with city-scape views, all named after iconic 60s ladies – the Lucy even comes with her own eight-man hot-tub. Slut. Thankfully the décor hasn’t strayed into pastiche, instead sticking to fairly clean colour schemes with the odd quirk thrown in – think framed records and diamante curtains. The in-house bar and restaurant, Alfie’s (named after Michael Caine’s – yep you guessed it – 60s character) has made a bit of a name for itself in the area, usually pulsing with young city-workers drawn in by the black leather pouffs, bubble chairs and alfresco terrace where traditionally British dishes are made the most of by their Borough & Billingsgate Market-adjacent location.

The Bermondsey Square Hotel, located in this area, is a stylish hotel, with 79 designer bedrooms, including a series of loft rooms overlooking London's skyline. "Alfie's Kitchen" consists of a bar, restaurant, wine shop and deli and fresh English dishes made from the freshest locally sourced ingredients.
