Bringing old-school grooming to a new generation of Shoreditch dandies, Murdock’s original store on Old Street (it also has branches in Liberty and on Bond Street) offers traditional wet shaves and barbershop services, as well as a comprehensive range of luxury brands to buy, many of which are exclusive to the shop. Styled like a gentleman’s boudoir, you’ll find vintage books, magazines and curios scattered around as well as the kind of essentials the refined wouldn’t be seen dead without – whisky flasks, travel kits and some of the most exquisite, ebony handled badger-bristle shaving brushes.
