Despite the hype and slavish celebrity fans, The Ivy serves a surprisingly unpretentious menu of British favourites including fish and chips and a cracking sausage & mash. Its proximity to Theatreland makes it a favourite special-occasion venue for a pre or post-production meal, with enough refinement in the approachable clubroom atmosphere to keep it feeling sparkly. Plus, the prices still manage to stay on the right side of reasonable. Take a surreptitious peak at the neighbouring, and über-exclusive, Ivy Club – hidden away inside a flower shop next door.
