Attempting to give London’s edgy East End a touch of sophistication, is this regally named gastropub. Following a recent refurbishment, she’s looking prettier than ever with sparkling Georgian windows and a ground floor pub which leads up to a restaurant via a spiral staircase. The lively bar is often packed with creatives munching on pub grub and bar snacks in brasserie surrounds, whilst the smarter dining room upstairs is bedecked with Victorian imagery and black-liveried waiters serving up more ambitious Gallic cuisine.
