After some rather incongruous false starts under the likes of Damien Hirst and Marco Pierre White, this former home to Karl Marx is now in the safer hands of the Hart brothers. Whilst their expertise lies in Spanish dishes (they also own Fino and Barrafina), they have successfully restored a grand old Soho dame back to her former glory, keeping the dining room feeling smart and clubby with parquet flooring and gold on tan tones, whilst the food is good, well-prepared grill fare. There’s a members club upstairs and a newly opened terrace for Summer boozing, too.
