This charming offshoot from Jacob Kenedy’s sensational Bocca di Lupo is the perfect stop for a lunchtime or mid-afternoon ice-cream fix.

Serving Italian gelatos made with much less fat and lots more love than the regular varieties, as well as sorbets and granitas, the menu changes daily and includes flavours like hazelnut, pine nut and fennel seed, blood orange and burnt almond. Fancy something savoury? Try the filled foccacias and frittatas, or take home the best pasta sauces, olive oils and deli-board specials this side of Italy.

Pop by late at night and, if you’re lucky, the Doughnut sign will be up which means fresh, just-fried Bombe Calde, filled with chocolate. Sinfully good with a Caffe alla nocciola – a Neapolitan speciality of espresso, egg yolks and pure hazelnut paste – on the side (of your hips).
