The combination of pleasant interiors, efficient service, reasonable prices and, most importantly, great hamburgers, has made Byron an insta-hit since the first outlet opened in Kensington. The number of locations has since grown to ten or so, one of which is The Intrepid Fox, formerly a legendary rock’n’roll pub in the heart of Soho’s boy town.
The fries may be a touch pale and the mac’n’cheese on the runny side of things, but there’s little to point your finger at about the burgers themselves and service is friendly despite the busy-ness of the place. Less sceney than the nearby Lo-Profile or Balans – and less entertaining, perhaps – but preferable if you pay more attention to the buns of your burger than those of your waiter.
