Not even East London and its most beloved gay institutions are immune to the eastbound migration of the city’s queer scene. And so the legendary George & Dragon has moved another mile left, and reemerged as The Queen Adelaide.

Now in a former strip club, it’s actually a much better venue for partying, although the trek from Central London didn’t get any easier. Still, besides the change of address, most things haven’t changed. It’s the same team, much of the same interior, and, if you were a regular (and not too out of it), you might recognise many of the guests, too.

More importantly, it’s still good for a great night out (and has a late license). Come with old friends for a laugh, or by yourself to make new ones among an open-minded crowd of cock-loving hipsters, fun-loving straights and other outcasts who’d rather brave it to zone 2 than be seen dead in Soho or Shoreditch. Go East, young man!
