Wayne Shires (co-founder of The Cock) and his gang have found a new home at the former Doors Club, just a stone’s throw from East Bloc’s former home at the now closed Ghetto, but the East Village NYC meets East London (with a bit of Berlin cruise club thrown in) vibe remains unchanged.
Friday night it’s Larry Tee's Super Electro Party Machine with a crowd of flamboyant posers and fun-seekers dancing to the mashup of retro electro pop and disco from of a rotating stock of hot resident DJs like Jodie Harsh and Princess Julia, while Saturdays have been hosting nights ranging from Gutterslut to the MEAT parties from James Pople and Munroe Bergdorf.
