Wayne Shires (co-founder of The Cock) and his gang have found a new home at the former Doors Club, just a stone’s throw from East Bloc’s former home at the now closed Ghetto, but the East Village NYC meets East London (with a bit of Berlin cruise club thrown in) vibe remains unchanged.
Friday night it’s Disco Fag Bar with a crowd of flamboyant posers and fun-seekers dancing to the mashup of retro electro pop and disco from of a rotating stock of hot resident DJs, while Saturdays have been hosting nights ranging from a NYC-inspired “Paris Is Burning” vogue club to the Torture Garden-esque Club Nancy for 'perverts and pretenders'.
