This behemoth of department stores occupies a whopping 4.5 acre site and practically sits in its own post-code. In keeping with its motto – Omnia Omnibus Ubique, All Things for All People, Everywhere – it has 330 departments to cater to your every whim. The food hall, in particular, is noteworthy, as is Al Fayed’s slightly disconcerting shrine to the late Diana, including a relic-esque wine glass she supposedly took her last sip from. That aside, expect Egyptian décor and overt displays of wealth, cavernous spaces and a pet shop for pampered pooches, as well as the requisite in-store spa and salon.
