Terence Conran’s Boundary Hotel is located in a converted Victorian warehouse, with 17 rooms and suites each inspired, or indeed created by, different designers. You’ll get ‘Modern Chinoiserie’ courtesy of David Tang, rooms dedicated to young British talent, Scandinavian or Bauhaus aesthetics and of course, the Conran Suite.
The hotel also has a fantastic rooftop garden space – immensely popular with a no-reservations policy, expect to queue for access if you’re not a guest – with a grill and open fireplace, a classic French and British menu in the excellent basement restaurant, and The Albion, which serves homecooked comfort food and does a roaring trade in freshly baked bread and essentials. Guests have access to the nearby Market Sports gym and pool for a £7 daily fee.
Located right behind Shoreditch House, the hotel is also within walking distance of the neighbourhood’s trendiest bars and Old Street, Brick Lane and Columbia Road.
