THE HOSPITAL

Whoever said media types were humourless w*nkers had clearly never been here. The Hospital is a multi-faceted centre split over five levels in the heart of Covent Garden, whose raison d’être is to bring together media types and inspire creativity, as evidenced throughout the various spaces. The restaurant is papered in flamingos, a games room comes with foosball and billiard tables, one of the bars has been designed by artist Julie Verhoeven, and there’s a fascinating Forest Room for private dining, as well as screening rooms and facilities for TV and music recording. The downstairs gallery is open to the public and hosts an eclectic range of shows, whilst if you call ahead and ask nicely, you’re very likely to bag a table for dinner (ca. GBP 30 per head) and a drink.
