Clubbing – but not as you know it – Punk prides itself on its all-inclusive policy and ability to spot hot new acts before they break it big; considering some of their most recent performers have included Lady Gaga and VV Brown, they must be doing something right. The crowd’s a blend of pretty fashionistas, media darlings and arty types in trainers, the atmosphere is distinctly laid back and fun-loving, and the music veers as far as possible from impersonal backbeats and back into the realm of singalong dance anthems and pop-rock chart toppers which get everyone onto the dancefloor. The weird and wonderful themed nights have included everything from sex slaves to body painters and come with deliciously ridiculous names – Euro Trash, F*ck Rehab and Fourplay are just some of the weekly treats on offer.
