Perhaps best known for Larry Gagosian’s curatorial eye (which led Damien Hirst to present his first solo show here), the Gagosian hosts some of the most inventive contemporary work on the arts scene across its seven worldwide outposts and has its finger firmly on the modern pulse. From site specific installations by Turner Prize shortlisters (see Richard Wright paint the Davies Street ceiling), to new exhibits by big names including Cy Twombley & Francis Bacon, the Gagosian also puts on retrospectives of past masters like Picasso, digging out unseen work and calling on its formidable fanbase to donate private pieces for show – meaning you’ll always likely to find something new.
