Royal Academy of Arts
One of London’s most influential galleries has hosted the likes of Van Gogh and Tracey Emin throughout its impressive spaces, and now has its first permanent restaurant.

Set up by Jay Jopling in the 90s, White Cube continues to host an incredible roster of names including Tracey Emin and Gilbert and George.
The Wapping Project
The extraordinary space of this ex-power station really dictates the pace of the exhibitions which fit themselves around the venue, which also includes a great restaurant.
Victoria Miro Gallery
Whilst its popularity could be ascribed to its own garden overlooking the Regent’s Canal, the two floors here boast some serious resident artists including Peter Doig and Grayson Perry.
The Royal Opera House
Possibly the only place where you won’t get smacked around for alluding to the fat lady who sings – because this is where you’re most likely to find her – as well as The Royal Ballet.
Rivington Place
Rivington Place is the first new-build public space in London since the Hayward, putting on educational shows on international issues from culturally diverse perspectives.
Riflemaker Gallery
A former gunmakers (hence the name) turned art gallery exhibits hot little shows under the curatorial eyes of Virginia Damtsa and Tot Taylor.
