Flying cattle class? Lost your elite frequent flyer status? Well, no more does a frequent flyer card or a seat in the first rows of the plane separate you from them – Copenhagen Airport has decided to bridge the gap by offering a lounge open to all. And you don’t even have to put up with the usual, staid business-centre atmosphere.
The CPH Apartment lounge is set out like a local home (just without the mess – think stucco ceilings, design furniture, working fireplace and herringbone flooring), offering a kitchen/dining room, library, study with rentable computers and living room with free Internet, hot and cold drinks, wines and spirits, fruit, snacks, light meals and papers. If only your own flat was as well-stocked.
Of course, there’s a fee attached (unless you are already flying business or first – check for applicable airlines) but hey, it’ll add up to less than you’d spend on Wi-Fi and a drink outside.
