This could well be the first time that you don’t actually want to leave a soccer stadium. Spectacular panoramic views, design classics and first class gourmet in tower H have made Parken, Denmark’s national stadium a destination for gastro hounds who couldn’t care less for the beautiful game.
There are gels and foams among the gourmet treats but it’s the excellent execution of French cuisine with a distinct Danish touch – smoked potatoes, mussels, monkfish, local herbs – rather than molecular gastronomy that is the draw and substance of the set menus.
In the kitchen are friends Søren Ledet and Rasmus Kofoed, whose names may not ring a bell – yet. Kofoed is among the world’s hottest young chefs – winner of the prestigious Bocuse d’Or prize in 2011, the unofficial world championship for chefs. Included in the annual San Pellegrino top 100 restaurants list at Geranium's former location, they've now regained their Michelin star in Parken but expect more to come..
