Located on the ground floor of the former Pan club, a legendary everybody-welcome factory of gay fun, Club Christopher had a lot to live up.
Taking its inspiration from the namesake street in New York for a camp everything-goes vibe, it’s home to an up-for-it, mixed crowd on Saturday nights, not least thanks to its open bar concept: Pay the entry and get access to the free bar (including beer, soda, shots and house booze), and take a close look at the staff to decide who you’ll be sucking a tequila body shot off later.
There’s a courtyard with cocktail bar for al fresco action (and smokers), too, but, be warned, Christopher shares the space with K3 – a gay-friendly but predominantly straight establishment – so not everybody may welcome your advances.
It could be tempting to close the place on a busy night. Don’t – the cloakroom is located in the open air courtyard, which can be a freezing place to queue for your coat.
