A local stalwart popular with a young-at-heart, predominantly straight and mainstream crowd, there’s no real dress restriction and the atmosphere is distinctly casual at Vega, but for a big night with matching sound systems and light shows, the nightlife complex can’t be beat.
A multi-purpose venue based in a Vilhelm Lauritzen-designed 1950s trade union building, there’s space for a stylish wood-lined lounge and two concert venues (one big, one intimate, which have hosted the likes of Kylie, Hot Chip, and Missy Elliott) that double up as separate dance floors for club nights (mostly electronic and house).
In summer, head up to the third floor terrace for Nina Bang’s starlit residency and a more laid back clubbing experience with an ice cold beer to hand, while the retro-authentic Ideal Bar – with a separate entrance next to Vega – is good for a chilled out drink all-year.
