The weekend before Berlin’s proper pride, the Christopher Street Day, the area bounded by Motzstrasse, Eisenacher Strasse, Fuggerstrasse and Kalckreuthstrasse is turned into a massive street party.
Beer gardens and cocktail bars are intermingled with foodstands and information booths, as nearly half a million people turn up for the festivities. For the more energetic, five stages and dancefloors are set up, including “The Connection” with house and techno music, the retro hit “Disco Ball” venue, and the live act “Queer Media” stage.
